Check CU has struggled to find vital public records on the City of Danville website, especially those regarding the Danville Police Department, such as:
- Danville Police Department Policies
- Police Union Contracts for the Danville Police Department
- Police Complaint Forms and Instructions
These records are of significant public interest and it is unfortunate that they are not readily available to Danville residents (though we were eventually able to locate what appear to be the most recent police contracts, which were not placed anywhere under the “Police” tab of the City website). To ameliorate the deficiency, Check CU has taken steps to ensure that these records can be viewed and downloaded by any member of the public, 24/7.
For the first time ever, Danville residents can now access the full (302 pages) Danville Police Policy Manual, complaint forms, and police contracts all in one place.
