Who can vote?
- US Citizen, by birth or naturalization
- At least 18 years old on or before the next election (born on or before April 6, 2003)
- If you will be 18 on or before the next General election, you may register and vote in the Primary
- Lived in Illinois and in your election precinct 30 days as of the date of the election
- Not currently serving a criminal sentence. (Previous convictions, parole, and registry status do not bar anyone from voting in Illinois)
- Do not claim the right to vote anywhere else

January 14 – February 22, 2021: Champaign County Clerk’s office (Brookens Administrative Center, 1776 East Washington Street, Urbana, Illinois 61802)

Notes:
- Paper form requests are accepted by mail up to 5 days before the election.
- In-person request – County Clerk’s office up to February 22, 2021 (one day before election)
ALL VOTE BY MAIL BALLOTS MUST BE RETURNED TO THE CLERK’S OFFICE BY 7PM ON ELECTION DAY, February 23, 2021 or mailed by USPS postmarked on or before February 23, 2021.
Note: The County Clerk’s office is the ONLY location to hand-deliver a ballot.
